Is Six Figure Mentors a Good Way to Make Legitimate Money Online? | Get The Scoop Here!

System At a Glance

Name: Six Figure Mentors

Founders: Stuart Ross and Jay Kubassek

Base Location: Wilmington DE

Type of Program: Affiliate Marketing Training

Cost: Four tiers of membership Free through 20K
My Overall Rating: 1 out of 10. Not recommended.

I joined this program for free to see what it is all about. I went through the free module and was quickly encouraged to sign up for the additional training at what are, in my opinion, over-priced access fees.

I love learning new things and trying out new programs so signing up for free trials is what I do. If I like the program and think I can learn something new by sticking around and I can justify the cost then I go beyond the free trial.

I did not get past the free phase with this program. I don’t feel like I was misguided or misinformed by the training. I do feel that I can get better training elsewhere for way less money without the sales pitch, maybe even free.

What Is Six Figure Mentors (SFM)?

Six figure mentors is an online marketing program that is teaching you how to create an online business to promote this business only. You don’t get a lot of up front training. Just a little teaser that then leads to a big sales pitch to pay for the next step of the training.

SFM runs on the same business model as MOBE, which is a company that was shut down by the government within the past year. That alone makes me a little nervous.

Who are the Founders of SFM?

Before SFM (pre 2011) Stuart Ross was running a similar company called Carbon Copy Pro. That company isn’t around anymore. Both Stuart and Jay Kubassek also run another company right now called Digital Experts Academy (DEA).

I’ll explain more later about how DEA is tied into SFM.

How Does SFM work?

You most likely will come across a video on social media where one of the founders of SFM is walking on the beach or splashing in a pool, talking about how great it is to work whenever and wherever you want. They ask for an email so you can get access to the free 7-day video training.

Once they have your email they start with the hard upsells. You will not be able to access the next steps to build a business without paying handsomely for these upsells. Here is the pricing structure.

  • Affiliate Access – Free for 30 days
  • Student Access – $25 per month
  • Essential Membership – One time fee of $297, plus $97 per mont
  • Elite Membership – $2500, must have an Essential Membership first

You won’t get any tools or a free starter website unless you purchase them. As you can see there are multiple add ons and many other upsells that are not apparent from the start.  Once you have purchased all the products above you will be redirected to DEA, the other company the founders run.

DEA is where you are offered the big ticket upsells that are supposed to earn high commissions. They offer 4 levels of membership that include e-commerce training platforms, 1:1 mentoring with a two-day workshop featuring speakers from the industry, a personal branding workshop and at the highest level – mastermind events in exotic location with the

founders.

The pricing structure for DEA is:

Silver – $2500 (one time)

Gold – $8000 (one time)

Platinum – $11,000 (one time)

Black – $20,000 (one time)

This type of system is a sales funnel. The only way to get to the point where you are making good money is to go all the way through the sales funnel and then start selling the big ticket upsells yourself. I’m just blown away that anyone can justify spending this kind of money on information that can be learned for so much less money and in some cases for free.

The Pros and Cons

The upside

This program is well laid out and seems easy to walk through. They do have knowledge of the industry and at higher level their students seem to be making good money. I can’t confirm that. You can sign up for the free trial, just remember to cancel before your 30 days is up if you don’t want to continue so you don’t get charged month after month.
The downside

You can’t get anywhere without buying more and more upsells. You will need to buy additional memberships and they are very expensive.
Oh and I almost forgot, just when you think you gained access to all the areas of SFM, you learn that to use all the tools recommended in the training you will need to pay for them. Here are the four basic tools you will need to add:

Digital Business Lounge (DBL) – $37 or $67 per month

Simple Lead Capture – $29.95 per month

Graphix Creator – $99 one time

Simpletrakk – $9.95 per month

These tools should be incorporated into the high price already paid to be a part of the SFM team. If you have to add another hundred bucks of monthly recurring fees that adds up for a beginner.

Is Six Figure Mentors a Scam?

I’m not going say is an out and out scam because they do have courses and as I said earlier I didn’t fee like I was given any misinformation.

Personally I don’t like the Multi Level Marketing approach. It feels kind of like a pyramid scheme which isn’t anything I want to stay a part of.

In Summary

There has clearly been a lot of hard work into putting together an organized program at SFM. I have no doubt that they are smart people who know the business. If you have a ton of money to spend I think you can learn something about online marketing through the program.

My question to you is, Do you have a ton of money to spend to begin your online business. If you are like most people, including me, when you are starting out you need to find a less expensive alternative to learn how to build an online business.

Lucky for you there are alternatives.
