Is Legendary Marketer a Scam? No, But Buyer Beware!
Welcome to my review of Legendary Marketer. I am going to share with you everything you need to know to determine for yourself – is Legendary Marketer a scam or a legitimate opportunity to learn how to make money online.

What Is Legendary Marketer?
Before we get into all of the details let me give you a quick summary of Legendary Marketer is.
Legendary Marketer is a marketing program designed by Dave Sharpe. It is a high-ticket affiliate marketing company that trains and teaches you on how to resell the Legendary Marketer training and memberships.
They have internet marketing courses that contain valuable and accurate information. They also have upsells that are far overpriced. Read on to find out how pricey they get.
Who Is Dave Sharpe?
Dave Sharpe is the founder of Legendary Marketer. David (Dave) Sharpe has been around the online affiliate marketing game for years. He has built three multi-million dollar companies. I would say that qualifies him as an expert in the industry and someone you could learn a thing or two from.
After a rough childhood and rougher teens and twenties, Dave cleaned up his act and started his online career.
He started the company Empower Network which, after his departure from the company, failed and ceased to operate.
He then moved on to found Duplicate Dave, which has now transformed into Legendary Marketer.
How Does Legendary Marketer Work?
Remember that name Duplicate Dave? That is what the basic principle of Legendary Marketer is. Take the framework of the online business Dave has created and Duplicate it using proven sales funnels to start reselling and making money for yourself.
Dave believes that any business start-ups are likely to fail at a rate of 9 out of 10 or 90% failure rate. He also believes that franchises are bound to succeed at a rate a 9 out of 10 or 90% success rate. So his idea is to bring the franchise aspect of business to online business world. If he can create done for you products, he feels the success rate is higher.
That means that as a member of Legendary Marketer you will be “Duplicating Dave” and taking his training and high-ticket products and membership and reselling them in order to earn a commission.
Some of the newer courses do delve into affiliate marketing and how to create niche websites. I’ll go into that a little more in a minute
The Downside.
I know right now you might be thinking “hey, this sounds pretty good.” So far, I’ve told you Dave is a successful business developer and that his franchise model concept has a 90% success rate.
But, there is a downside…
Although you can take the lessons and skill you learn and apply them to any affiliate marketing niche you choose, the people making the money with Legendary Marketer are the ones who are reselling Legendary Marketer and collecting a commission for it.
The tools and resources you get with this program are aimed mostly at getting you to recruit new members into their community as opposed to helping you build your own site.
The Up Side.
There is a wealth of information within the Legendary Marketer coursework. This is a legitimate affiliate business marketing business. They steer clear of falling into the MLM category because there is only one level, meaning it is just you and the person you referred. No else get a commission from your referral so it isn’t multi-level marketing or a pyramid scheme.
The Product Line
Let’s see what they have to offer in the way of products.
The Legendary Marketer Club. $30 (monthly)
This is the monthly subscription and the introductory product. It teaches the basics about internet marketing. You will learn about many relevant topics including:
- Lead Generation
- Facebook Ads
- Facebook Fan Page concepts
- YouTube Advertising methods
- Instagram Marketing
- weekly training on a variety of topics related internet marketing
You will also be provided with premade banner ads, video ads, emails and a landing page so you can begin to resell Legendary Marketer products.
Traffic Rolodex. $247 (one time)
This is the training where you will learn how to use paid traffic to drive customers to the Legendary Marketer landing page. In my opinion this should be included in the Legendary Marketer Club monthly subscription.
If you are going to need to use this paid traffic training and resource to be able to benefit from all of the introductory products then it should really be rolled into that initial training.
Invisible Influencer. $997 (one time)
Here is another upsell training that teaches you to utilize Instagram and Facebook to promote your business reselling LM.
They have already introduced you to these concepts in the Marketer’s Club so I’m hoping the $997 spend on this additional training means that it is extremely in depth.
I’m not a fan of high priced upsells for items that can be learned for free with a little research.
Legendary Builder Masterclass. $2500 (one time)
This Masterclass course will teach you how to build a brand. You will learn about becoming a leader in your business and creating authority to outrank your competition. You will learn to scale your business, meaning once you have some success, how to use the same concepts to expand and grown your business.
The following four products are newer additions to the upsells offered. They are all labeled Blueprint courses and for the cost of $10,000 you can learn them all.
Affiliate Marketing Business Blueprint $2500 (one time)
The blueprint here is a training program teaching you more about affiliate marketing with niche sites. While the course work is detailed and the information valuable, it is still way overpriced.
There are many other places to get this information for less money or even free.

Digital Product Business Blueprint $2500 (one time)
This is one of the newer additions to the system. It is designed to help you resell courses, or e books, or other digital media. So it is made for digital media as opposed to physical products.
I will repeat myself here – good information to learn but too much money.
Coaching and Consulting Business Blueprint $2500 (one time)
Life coaching and Business coaching are really hot right now. This blueprint aims to teach you how to market yourself as a coach and build a consulting business.
Events and Masterminds Business Blueprint $2500 (one time)
You will learn how to plan and profit from creating high ticket events and mastermind getaways like the ones Legendary Marketer upsells. I’ll outline some of them below.
Legendary Marketer Mastermind. $8000 (one time)
Even as I write this I just have to smile because now we are getting into some serious cash for training.
You will pay $8000 for a 3-day mastermind seminar. This is an in-person event held in the US. You will spend 3 days getting in-person, hands on training.
I do see the value in live seminars. I don’t think this particular one would qualify as a good investment bases on the initial expense and the fact that it could most likely be completed via webinar for a lot less.
Legendary Entrepreneur Mastermind. $12,000 (one time)
This is also a 3-day live event held in the US. It moves into topics related more to personal development. This event focuses on growth and being an entrepreneur.
I’m smiling again because seriously, $12,000!!! This is a lot of money people. I just can’t see spending that kind of money on this event.
I have been to a lot of seminars and I have never paid more than a few hundred dollars per day. Some of them were better than others and had more valuable information but at the end of the day either way, I was only out a few hundred dollars.
This is an upsell that will be offered after you are already invested in other aspects of the program. Your coach will upsell you on this product. And remember, the coaches are trained to upsell you.
Legendary Lifestyle Experience. $30,000 (one time)
I’m literally shaking my head in disbelief as I’m writing.
This event is a 3 day, out of country (not in the US) event. It is in some exotic resort location where members can network and learn from each other.
Again, this is a major upsell that you will be offered. It is probably a good time (tropical location) and I’m sure there is some great information shared – but $30K!
At this point you become eligible for personal coaching with Dave Sharpe himself. In my opinion if you are spending thousands of dollars with this company you should have talked with Dave Sharpe (or he should reached out to offer support to you) by now for free as part of the trainings you have been participating in and that you already paid good money for.
In total, you will have to spend at least $58,000 to get qualified for all commissions and gain access to personal coaching from Dave Sharpe. Wow, just wow.

Pros
If you want to join the initial offering of $30 per month subscription you will get a ton of valuable information. Especially for the complete beginner – you will get hours of education on how to get an online business going.
You will immediately get access to a coach who will lead you step by step through the training. This is helpful right at the start, just remember their main job is to get you to buy the expensive upsells.
The commissions are high. This is a high ticket affiliate marketing product and the commission rate is good. Rates run between 40% and 60% depending on where you are in the commission structure. If you purchase the $2500 Legendary Builder Masterclass product then if you sell that product you can earn $1000.
If you purchase the $5000 Legendary Leader Masterclass product, you can earn $2000 on sales of that product.
Just remember, you have to buy the products to make a commission.

Cons
The Expense!! This is just way too much money to spend to learn how to make money online.
I know you most likely came across this review because you are looking for a way to make money online. You can learn about online marketing without spending outrageous amounts of money. I personally can’t justify the cost of these products and upsells.
In addition to the cost of the high ticket upsells, many of the courses teach you how to get traffic through paid advertising which is going to cost you even more money. Paid traffic will get results fast however you can get results with free traffic methods as well. Paid traffic can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars per month.
And remember, you have to buy each training level before you can begin to earn commissions from it.
Is Legendary Marketer a Scam?
No. I would not classify Legendary Marketer as a scam. The training is full of valuable information and it is laid out well and easy to follow. So you are paying for training, which makes it a legit product.
Just because I haven’t classified LM as a scam though, does not mean I would recommend it to you. Overall, it is just too damn expensive!
In Summary
If you are convinced that you want to try this program, sign up for the $30 subscription only and remember that you can cancel within the first 30 days. So you can take it for a test drive and see what think.
My concern is that you will be convinced by a really slick coach to buy the upsells.
I just hope there isn’t anyone who convinces themselves that if they spend this kind of money they are bound to, or guaranteed to make tons of money in return. That just isn’t the case.
